i had to post pics of these amazing shoes I found while surfing nordstrom online today. i mean I wish they had these in my size (technically they do but I’m making a point). check the photos above. they are the fashionable oxfords ($49.95), mini toms ($37.95) and the ash sneakers ($94.95).
from alice + olivia’s 2011 spring collection…. the boots are just too cute… setting the outfit off into style heaven!
Come March, it looks like the 12-and-under set will be dressed better than us, judging by alice + olivia‘s latest offerings for young ‘uns. Apparently, prints are in: Of the six looks featured, four sport some kind of pattern, from a jumper done up in leopard to a horizontally striped dress perfect for an edgy tea party. Luckily, Stacey Bendet skipped the whole Toddlers and Tiaras thing, styling this adorable little girl in tough boots, (we. want. those.) two giant pom-pom buns, and the barely-there makeup. And while they don’t quite make her size, we think other Hollywood style icons like Suri Cruise, Harlow Madden and Honor Warren will be placing pre-orders now. The line is priced between $88 and $275.
and I do mean today… more like right now… my soon-to-be 2 year old, emory, became a fan of none other than Dora a.k.a. doe-ra! I was thinking she’d skip this whole Dora craze because she’s normally a fan of elmo, but 5 minutes ago, she came to me yelling doe-ra, doe-ra.
Like… where did she get this from? Now we’re watching it via internet. Hopefully, Dora will put this child to sleep.
the key to raising a budding, soon-to-be 2 year old is discipline, portion control, love hard and smile often.

came home today to emory (21 months —> 5) and my two nephews — kai (8) & eli (4) — to hear that emory was in timeout today… more than once… not to mention that i heard her say at least 60 new words & motion at least 10 new moves (not necessarily nice moves because one was an elbow)… this hanging out with the big kids ain’t necessarily a good thing. she doesn’t need any extra help being bad… she has that down.

how can you resist the urge to buy them???? i mean unless you don’t have kids, nieces, nephews, cousins, any bad ass neighbor’s kid????? j/k on the last one!
